IMPROVING HYDRAULIC FRACTURING DESIGN
AND APPLICATION SINCE 2008

Lucas Bazan founded Bazan Consulting, Inc. (BCI) in April 2008 to assist clients with hydraulic fracture design, on-site supervision, and post-job well performance evaluation focusing on unconventional reservoirs in multi-stage horizontal well completions. The firm is based in Houston, Texas, and specializes in evaluating tight gas, coalbed methane, and shale reservoirs in domestic and international areas. BCI staff are experts in delivering consulting projects on budget and on time and driving excellence in on-site implementation.

Our success and continued growth are because we believe in our core values of professional integrity, customer services, and in all, we do to strive for excellence and respect for our clients and ourselves. George Toma best explains this guiding principle, the head groundskeeper for the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs and member of the MLB Groundskeeper Hall of Fame, saying, "We always do everything we can, and then a little more."

We are fortunate to be highly regarded in the industry, and our reputation is based on our standard of technical excellence and industry contributions. Lucas Bazan holds degrees in Physics from Texas State University and a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University with more than 20 technical publications, including studies for the U.S. Department of Energy and National Oil Companies. Additionally, Lucas continues to improve applications and interpretations utilizing the first principal hydraulic fracture mechanics. Along with Bruce Meyer, the author of the MFrac Suite of fracturing software, they develop new solution-based methods for unconventional applications and lead innovations in acid fracturing theory.
